Relocatable Home Building Consent Plans

Relocatable homes can be a smart and cost-effective way to build, but getting the paperwork right is key. We prepare clear, council ready building consent plans tailored to your site and local council requirements. From layout to compliance, we make sure your relocatable home is practical, well planned, and ready for a smooth consent process.


Minor Dwelling

A minor dwelling is a self-contained home on your property, often used for rental income, extended family, or future flexibility. In Auckland, minor dwellings are generally up to 65 m² and include their own kitchen, bathroom, living space, and bedroom, subject to council approval and site rules. From 2026, new nationwide changes may allow certain standalone dwellings up to 70 m² to be built without building consent, depending on design and compliance conditions. We help you understand what’s allowed, design an efficient and comfortable layout, and prepare council ready plans that add real value to your property.
